National Cattlemen's Beef Association

We're both heading to San Antonio, Texas this week for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association Convention.  Bruce was commissioned to paint the image for their 2010 poster.  He'll be signing posters at the Cargill booth Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (Jan. 27th-29th).  Please stop by and say hi!

American Quarter Horse Show

If you'll be near Amarillo next week, check out the America's Horse in Art show at the American Quarter Horse Museum. The show will be opening to the public on Friday, August 14th at 7pm. Bruce has these two paintings in the show. We won't be able to attend, but we'd love to hear from anyone who does. It looks like an amazing museum and a great art show.

Who Really Writes This Blog?

Not Bruce.  Bruce spends his time painting, riding horses, playing his bass in one of the FIVE bands he's in right now, repairing old violins, making things out of wood, shooting his bow, driving his tractor around, or working on random, never-ending projects.  Bruce doesn't spend his time writing.  In the very first blog post, written over a year ago, it appeared as if Bruce had done the writing, but he didn't.  It was, and will continue to be, written me, the artist-wife, Annette. We hope that's okay with everyone out there.  Bruce is a little worried, as any husband might be, that I might get out of hand, but I've promised to be good.   We'll just stick to the newsy facts.

A Week at the Whitney Gallery of Western Art

Thank you to all who stopped by to visit during my artist-in-residence stay at the Whitney Gallery of Western Art in Cody Wyoming's Buffalo Bill Historical Center.   It was a great experience to set up an easel between the Charlie Russell and Fredrick Remington wings and paint for a week.
